Are you passionate about working in an Orthopedic setting? Interested in Sports medicine? We are considering new grads, however you must have completed at least one Orthopedic rotation. We will also consider a new grad who was previously a surgical tech. Our firm is in search of a Physician Assistant to be working in a supporting role to a team or Orthopedic Surgeons. In this role you will be rounding, updating treatment plans, admits, discharges, work with case managers and be a resource advocate for the patients and their family members.

We are adding 2 new hiring needs for this role.

Our client is a Ambulatory Surgical Center in Oregon located about 2 hours from Portland and an hour south of Salem.  This location puts you an hour from the coast and an hour from the mountains!  Excellent environment offering a unique work/ life experience.
Our ideal candidate should have personality! You will be working alongside 19 different surgeons and a group of Certified Surgical First Assists and Physician Assistants.
There is NO CALL with this role. The surgical PAs on staff will be handling call.

Ortho specialty, privately held, excellent surgeons, outstanding QA program, have highly trained long term staff that knows how to work collaboratively as a team and a beautiful facility.  Management has the support of medical advisory and governing body.  A very stable company with a great reputation in the area.  This facility does around 4500 surgeries per year, averaging about 18 per day.

It is preferred you have 2 years experience working in an Ortho Surgical setting, however the client is considering new grads who have done at least one Ortho clinical rotation and or has a background working as a surgical tech. Salary truly depends on the years of experience you have.

This position involves a lot of surgery, and any candidate will be required to assist on any surgery that they do, including total joint replacements.

Work setting/ what to expect:
The hours vary. Early mornings could be expected because this position does rounds at the hospitals.  The number of patients varies based on which physician(s) you would be working with and the day.
Our client offers medical, dental, life, 401(k) (Match up to 3% of salary and 7% profit sharing) $2500 annually to spend on meetings/travel, paid CME time (no set amount), paid time off at the rate of .06 for every hour worked, and 7 paid holidays per year in addition to the accrued time off.
