A fast-growing co-manufacturing company. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Information Technology department and coordinating all Information Technology-related activities including but not limited to: identifying, recommending, developing, implementing and supporting cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.  You will also be helping business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency by analyzing the needs of different departments and determining ways to meet business objectives by modifying the existing or developing new information processing systems. As an IT Manager, you will need to do all of your responsibilities while staying in compliance with all safety, food safety, SQF, quality, GMP and USDA requirements.  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 
  • Works with department managers to find ways to utilize information systems to improve the efficiency and profitability of the company.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems; develops justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Works with department managers to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Assists with ad-hoc report writing
  • Responsible for development of annual IT operating budget and capital budget related to IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitors, maintains, develops, upgrades, and supports all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
  • Develops and implements IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provisions.
  • Negotiates and administers vendor, outsource and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Practices asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
  • Assembles and configures network components and associated services; sets up and maintains basic network operations, including assembly of network hardware.
  • Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Installs, upgrades, and configures network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software, and files services.
  • Provides users with network technical support; responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources.
  • Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed.
  • Installs and tests necessary software and hardware.
  • Supports the Lean Manufacturing initiatives of the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities                                                
Directly supervises the IT staff of 1 person.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with established policies and applicable law, including training Partners, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; and addressing and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience                                                
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.  A minimum of an Associate's degree in Computer Science is required. A minimum of 5 years related experience is required, preferably in the food industry.   Additional professional computer certification is strongly preferred. 

- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
- Must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
Computer Skills 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be highly proficient in a Windows PC environment, specifically with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Previous experience with integrated manufacturing software is strongly preferred.   Expert working knowledge of LAN/WAN systems and the maintenance and upkeep requirements, Windows Server Systems, Exchange, and Crystal Reports.  Must be able to learn new software as needed.
 
Other Qualifications                                                  
Must be able to travel occasionally, and must be able to be work outside of normal business hours on occasion for emergencies and planned system maintenance.
